Pryon is a company that offers an artificial intelligence platform (AI) for data reading, organization, and retrieval for enterprise clients. Pryon primarily serves companies developing applications such as automations, chatbots, customer service, search, and voice assistants.
Pryon's platform is split into three main components: the AI engine, the central portal, and deployment tools. The AI engine automatically performs natural language processing, automatic model generation, automatic tuning through unsupervised learning and no-code tuning, and automatic incorporation of all common business documents and web pages. - Onboarding assistant: The onboarding assistant allows newly hired employees to be onboarded by an assistant that can answer their questions.
- Cybersecurity assistant: The cybersecurity assistant aims to improve cyber safety by adding real-time answers to training.
- Self-service help: Pryon gives customers around-the-clock access to a customer service desk that can answer their queries.
- Request for proposal (RFP) assistant: RFP questions can be matched with suggested answers from a collection of previously completed proposals.

In healthcare, Pryon's virtual assistant can be applied as a a one-stop record-of-truth for administrative and clinical staff to get verified answers to questions without pausing their work or removing their personal protective equipment (PPE).
Pryon's virtual experts can be applied in manufacturing operations as a liaison between the most experienced employees and the co-workers who require training, making expertise more available and recording explanations for reuse.
Telecommunication companies use Pryon's AI platform for customer services. According to Pryon, over 80 percent of customers' questions can be answered with a Q&A bot.
On November 13, 2018, Pryon announced raising $4.5 million in seed funding from Greycroft (lead investor), Two Sigma Ventures, Tech Square Ventures, Sequoia Scout, Rise of the Rest, Good Growth Capital, Full Tilt Capital, Engage Ventures, and Carolina Angel Network. The company planned to use its seed funding to officially launch its augmented intelligence platform.
On June 11, 2019, Pryon announced raising $20 million in series A funding from Rise of the Rest (lead investor), Stanford University Venture Fund, Two Sigma Ventures, Plug and Play, Greycroft, Good Growth Capital, Engage Ventures, Digital Alpha Advisors, Breyer Capital, and BootstrapLabs. The company planned to use its series A funding to develop strategic partnerships, increase its Fortune 500 customers, and invest in the improvement of its augmented intelligence platform.
