Quadrant Protocol is a blockchain-based platform for mapping data that was founded by Mike Davis on May 9, 2018 and is headquartered in Singapore, Singapore.
The Quadrant Protocol is built on the Ethereum blockchain and has its own ERC20 cryptocurrency token called QUAD. The Quandrant protocol uses masternodes referred to as "Guardian Nodes" that execute "Data Constellations" (collections of data) and distribute QUAD tokens according to terms described by smart contracts.
From June 26, 2018 to July 26, 2018 Quadrant Protocol held their initial coin offering (ICO) selling approximately $15.5 million dollars worth of their platforms ERC20 cryptocurrency token QUAD. The tokens were distributed in the following manner: 40% crowd-sale, 20% to the Quadrant Protocol company fund, 20% to company stakeholders, 10% reserve, and 10% to the Quadrant Protocol team.
The 20% of QUAD distributed to the Quadrant Protocol company fund are allocated for company functions in the following ratios: 35% for business and network development, 30% for research and development, 25% for operations and security, 5% for legal/accounting/compliance, and 5% for the treasury.
