Ray Muzyka is a Canadian physician and investor born on January 1, 1969 in Edmonton, Canada . He completed his education at the University of Alberta . He is the co-founder of BioWare, a video game company based in Edmonton . He also served as the former CEO of BioWare .

Under his leadership, BioWare developed successful video games, and Muzyka served as CEO for the well-known game Mass Effect 2 . In recognition of his achievements in the gaming industry, he received the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences' Hall of Fame award .

Apart from his work in the gaming industry, Muzyka is also known as a poker player .
