Renata of Lorraine (20 April 1544 – 22 May 1602) was a member of the House of Lorraine and Duchess of Bavaria by marriage to William V, Duke of Bavaria. Born in Nancy, France, Renata was the daughter of Francis I, Duke of Lorraine and Christina of Denmark.
Renata of Lorraine had several children, including Maximilian I, Elector of Bavaria; Maria Anna of Bavaria (1574–1616); Albert VI, Duke of Bavaria; Ferdinand of Bavaria (soldier); Magdalene of Bavaria; and Philipp of Bavaria.
Her occupations included aristocracy (class), politician, and queen consort. She held dual nationality in Germany and France. Renata of Lorraine passed away in Munich on 22nd May 1602.
