Richard Rush (1780 – 1859) was a prominent American lawyer, diplomat, and politician. Born on August 29, 1780, in Philadelphia, he was the son of Benjamin Rush, a famous physician and signer of the Declaration of Independence. Richard Rush completed his education at Princeton University and went on to pursue a career in law, diplomacy, and politics.
Throughout his career, Rush represented the United States as a diplomat and held various political positions within the country. He passed away in his hometown of Philadelphia on July 30, 1859 and was remembered for his contributions to American diplomacy and politics.
