Robert von Zimmermann (born November 2, 1824 in Prague, died September 1, 1898 in Vienna) was an Austrian philosopher and professor. Zimmermann held Austrian citizenship and was a notable figure in the field of philosophy.
Zimmermann studied under doctoral advisor Bernard Bolzano, a Czech mathematician and philosopher. Notably, one of Zimmermann's doctoral students was Kazimierz Twardowski, a Polish philosopher and logician who played an important role in establishing the Lviv-Warsaw School, which had a significant influence on the development of logic and philosophy in Poland.
