Sessue Hayakawa was a Japanese actor, novelist, screenwriter, and film director. Born on June 10, 1889, in Chiba, Chiba, Japan, Hayakawa held Japanese citizenship. He was educated at the University of Chicago.
Hayakawa's diverse career in the film industry encompassed various roles, including acting, writing novels, screenwriting, and film directing. He was also the founder of the Haworth Pictures Corporation.
