Silpo (ukr. Silpo) is a large Ukrainian supermarket chain founded in 1998. It is part of the commercial and industrial group Fozzy Group.
The name is derived from "Selpo" (in Soviet times - the common naming of a store in the countryside) - abbr. from "rural consumer society"
Supermarkets "Silpo" are self-service stores, the range of which includes up to 20 thousand items of food and related products, depending on the size of the sales area of the facility. In Ukraine, Silpo is one of the largest retail chains, numbering 325 supermarkets of various sizes, price segments and concepts in 2022, covering all regions of Ukraine, including all regional centers, including in Kiev - approx. 100 supermarkets
The average store area is 1500 m2. The assortment is focused mainly on food products, although large stores also have many auxiliary products - household chemicals, toys, as well as small household appliances.
