Founded in 2016 by Anand Agarawala and Jinha Lee, Spatial is a company that has created a metaverse for artistic creators and brands to showcase virtual spaces composed of their works. These virtual spaces can be minted as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and rented or sold to other users.
Platform
Spatial offers both a free and pro (paid) version of its platform. The free version comes with the following features:
- A public space to host NFT art exhibitions, virtual meetups, and other live events
- One-click content uploads (images, videos, and 3D files)
- Hosting for up to fifty people in one room
- Custom 3D environment for your space, able to be uploaded or purchased
- Login options using MetaMask, Google, Apple, and Microsoft
- Lifelike 3D avatar creation from a selfie

- Sticky notes to leave messages in your space
The pro version comes with all of the free features, plus the features of live translation and various added host tools used to control a host's stream, including view-only mode, the ability to mute and/or remove participants, and host designation. Pro pricing is set as a subscription model at $25 monthly, or $20 monthly when billed annually.
