Sportsy is a mobile training platform that was launched in 2014. The app provides young athletes a means to improve their game in whichever sport they choose. When launched in 2014, Sportsy was calling itself Sportsy Soccer and was developed in partnership with professional soccer players and coaches. Since 2014, Sportsy has expanded to include baseball, basketball, cycling, figure skating, football, golf, hacky sack, hockey, lacrosse, rock climbing, skateboarding, skiing, snowboarding, sports fitness, surfing, swimming, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.
Sportsy is available on iOS as well as Android and players can take part in challenges, perform drills and also keep track of their progress. The company is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA and was founded by Amanda Kifer, Stephan Dalyai, Justin Kifer and Andrew Briggs.
Sportsy is a privately owned company that was founded in 2013. It was funded by TechStars. The first version of the Sportsy application was launched in 2014.
Since Sportsy's funding from TechStars accelerator, it has gone on to receive a Convertible Note funding for $100,000 from Right Side Capital Management and Debt Financing for $118,000 from eonCapital and Star Power.
