The Refiners is a San Francisco-based seed fund program. They work to help entrepreneurs thrive in San Francisco. Through the three-month program, startups receive funding, networking and mentorship opportunities.
The refiners invest in pre-seed and seed stage companies. They are sector agnostic and believe instead in founder and they work to provide foreign founders the ability to move to San Francisco with an established network.
Through The Refiners seed fund program, companies receive up to $100,000 in exchange for 5%, 90 days in San Francisco, free office space, networking possibilites, 220 hour of mentoring, coaching and assistance. The program is split into thirds, in which one third is spent on strategy, one on networking and the final third on fundraising.
