TripleLift offers native ads that match the content environment of publisher websites. The platform includes a bidding-based native exchange and computer vision technology that "reads" images to comprehend major elements, such as faces, objects, and text areas, to format those images on different sites across devices.
TripleLift was established in 2012 by Eric Berry, Ari Lewine, and Shaun Zacharia. The company received seed funding in 2012 and Series A funding in 2014. In 2015, TripleLift announced a Series B funding from True Ventures, iNovia Capital, Edison and Partners, and two others, bringing the overall funding raised to $16.6 million. The company participated in the Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator 01/01/12 cohort and raised an estimated $16,625,000.
In October 2021, TripleLift struck a partnership with Amagi, a cloud-based software provider for broadcast and CTV, to include branded imagery programmatically into episodes of CTV programming. In addition, 1plusX, a first-party data management platform that TripleLift acquired in March 2022, offers extra contextual-based audience data to assist in finding necessary ad spots.
