TrueBridge Capital Partners is a venture capital firm based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, United States. The firm was founded by Edwin Poston and Mel Williams in 2007. In addition to being a venture capital firm, it has also partnered with Forbes to create the Midas List and the Midas List Europe for yearly rankings of the top investors in the technology field.The same partnership also produces an annual list titled "Next Billion Dollar Startups". In 2020, TrueBridge Capital Partners was acquired by P10 Holdings for an undisclosed amount.
TrueBridge Capital Partners funds companies at the seed and early stage of development. It also prefers to invest in technology-based companies and providing funds for micro-venture capital firms.The firm states that it uses a data-driven approach to make investments in venture funds as well as venture-backed companies.
The company has raised seven funds since its inception, four of which were in partnership with the Kauffman Fellows Program. Its latest fund was in April 2020 and raised $190 million. Past investments include Airbnb, Pinterest, and Palantir.
