Norwegian physicist and meteorologist
Vilhelm Bjerknes (born March 14, 1862, died April 9, 1951) was a Norwegian physicist . He received his education at the University of Oslo . Bjerknes' occupation was as a physicist . He was the founder of the Bergen School of Meteorology .
Bjerknes studied under the guidance of his doctoral advisor, the renowned mathematician Henri Poincaré . He later advised Jørgen Holmboe as his doctoral student . Vilhelm was born to Carl Anton Bjerknes, who was also an accomplished scientist .
