Village is a the Village.
Pizza is one of the most popular dishes in the world. This is a simple, clear and delivery-friendly product. Therefore, it is not surprising that in the conditions of the pizzeria pandemic in Ukraine there is even more: pizza does not need to be explained to anyone once again, moreover, the format is perhaps best adapted to delivery, Ukrainian restaurateurs explain.
"Pizza is the simplest, half-sandwich format. Not surprisingly, this is one of the leaders in the global delivery market, "- says restaurateur Eugene Gusovsky. "We did not reinvent the bicycle, we just follow the general trend. Pizza was the number one product in the world, in delivery so accurately. With quarantine, this has only intensified, ”says restaurateur Ihor Sukhomlyn when asked about a new wave of interest in pizza.
In 2017, Sukhomlin and his partner Valery Halperin opened Mimosa Brooklyn Pizza, which was based on Brooklyn-style pizza. Chain restaurants of Italian cuisine, family restaurants or even establishments with an authentic approach to Neapolitan pizza have been developed in Ukraine before, but the new trend has allowed to fully reveal pizza as a product with authorial potential. Around this time, over the past four or five years, pizza restaurants began to open in Ukraine as a conceptual product: York pizza in Pie Spot and Detroit square pizza in TC Pizza, as well as the Odessa promoter of the pizza format Monica Pinza Pasta Bar and the Dnieper Moderna Pizza, which is actually three pizzerias in one format.
The Village Ukraine gathers a great guide to Kyiv pizzerias. We did not aim to make an exhaustive list of all restaurants in the city with pizza - we talk about relevant restaurants for readers, where pizza is an important part of the menu.
