Vladimir K. Zworykin (July 17, 1888 – July 29, 1982) was a Russian-American physicist and engineer who was born in Murom, Russian Empire. He later acquired United States citizenship. Zworykin attended Saint Petersburg State Institute of Technology, where he studied under Boris Rosing as his doctoral advisor.
During his career, Zworykin worked as a physicist and an engineer. He was recognized for his contributions in the field of technology and was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 1977.
Vladimir K. Zworykin passed away on July 29, 1982, in Princeton, New Jersey.
