Xplore is a spacecraft development company focused on executing missions in space to other planets and objects in the solar system. The company was founded in 2017 by Jeff Rich and Lisa Rich, in Seattle, Washington, United States.
The company is looking to launch missions to the Moon, Mars, Venus, and asteroids, beginning in the year 2021. Their mission is stated as unfettered exploration, reaching for the stars, and pushing technology to its limits. Their missions offer the launching of a "payload" which can take the form of a scientific research project, branding, deployment of objects, testing new technologies, leaving messages and memorials, as well as art, and welcomes ideas. The flights to each location will be commercially provided on the XCRAFT spacecraft and will be available to space agencies, companies, universities, and communities.
The Moon
Xplore has been developing spacecraft to get to the moon since 2017 and aims to begin construction and testing in 2020 in order to begin flights in 2021. The company currently has a four year, annual schedule for the missions to the Moon. The mission is to orbit around the Moon at a 200km altitude.
Venus
Venus missions have been under development since 2017 and will begin in 2022, and are scheduled bi-annually until 2028. The orbital mission will take place 550km from the planet and will last 1.6 hours.
Mars
Xplore's missions to Mars will launch bi-annually starting from 2022 to 2028 and have been in development since 2017. The missions will orbit around the planet at a 250km distance.
Asteroids
Xplore is also interested in traveling to and exploring upon asteroids that pass by Earth. The company has been developing the XCRAFT spacecraft to navigate asteroids and plans to begin testing in 2020. The company will begin commercial flights in 2023 and aims to continue scheduled flights till 2026.
The company has partnered with Arch Mission Foundation to deliver Arch's Libraries to these locations in space. The Arch Libraries are considered a payload and will contain information and knowledge regarding the human race. From individual information to historical data, all information will be held on a laser-etched nickel that Xplore will launch into deep space.
