Yonder

Yonder – previously known as Popily and New Knowledge – is a company offering social media threat mitigation software for use by public and private institutions. The company was founded by Jonathan Morgan in 2015. Yonder aims to help its clients combat online disinformation campaigns against them. Yonder is based in Austin, Texas.

Yonder’s services are provided through its software, which provides three stages in defending its users against disinformation campaigns: detect, monitor, and mitigate. On the detect stage, the platform would inform the user when patterns of online behaviors indicating malicious campaign efforts start to emerge. During the monitor stage, users can keep track of the current status of the identified campaign, and by the mitigate stage, choose to intervene to stop the campaign from spreading further. Yonder’s current customer base is dominated by businesses operating in the private sector, such as the entertainment industry.

Since its founding year, Yonder has raised $13 million in capital with a Series A being its latest funding round in August 2018. With the Series A round, Yonder has held five funding rounds – with its most recent funding series amassing $11 million. Investors who have provided financing previously included GGV Capital, Lux Capital, Moonshots Capital, and Capital Factory.
