Yves Veggie Cuisine, originally called Yves Fine Foods, was founded in 1985 in Boulder, Colorado. Yves Veggie Cuisine would later move its headquarters to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and open up a 53,000 square foot production facility with approximately 250 employees. Yves Veggie Cuisine makes snacks and meals that are plant-based for vegetarians and vegans. The companies products require little preparation, and most are ready to eat after heating.
On June 11, 2001, Hain Celestial Group announced that it acquired Yves Veggie Cuisine for an undisclosed amount. Yves Veggie Cuisine's Marketing Director, Roy Kingsmith, says the following about the acquisition "It allows us to capitalize on synergies with respect to warehousing, freight, shipping and other basics, and it will also allow us to expand our profile and position within the natural foods category."
