Zapata is a quantum computing company spun out from Harvard University developing quantum software and algorithms for business.
The Boston based company was founded in 2017 from the work of Alán Aspuru-Guzik and his 4 postdoc students: physicists Peter Johnson and Jonathan Olson; computer scientist Yudong Cao; and chemist Jhonathan Romero Fontalvo. CEO Chris Savoie completes Zapata's founding team.
Zapata has raised $31.4M in 3 rounds of funding. In April 2019, $21M was raised in Series A funding.
The main product Zapata offers is the Oquestra platform. Orquestra combines a software platform and quantum algorithm libraries to deliver real-world advances in computational power for applications — particularly in chemistry, machine learning, and optimization. Orquestra enables users to compose quantum workflows and orchestrate their execution across classical and quantum technologies.
