Y Combinator backed Zbiotics develops genetically engineered probiotic. In September 2018, Zbiotics launched an indiegogo campaign to fund their product, a bioengineered hangover drink. The drink contains bioengineered probiotic bacteria to produce more of the enzyme that the body naturally uses to break down a toxic chemical byproduct of alcohol, acetaldehyde.
