Brett Lorenzo Favre is a former football quarterback who played for different teams like the Atlanta Falcons, Green Bay Packers, and New York Jets in the National Football League (NFL) over a career spanning two decades. He had an exceptionally long and productive career with the Green Bay Packers for whom he played from 1992 till 20071992 till 2007. It was evident from his childhood that the young Brett was destined for greatness as a sportsman. He started playing football and baseball while at school and could play quarterback, lineman, strong safety and place-kicker position. His father, who was the head coach of the school football team, encouraged his talented son to practice and develop his game. He started playing professional football during his years in the University of Southern Mississippi. First drafted by the Atlanta Falcons, he moved on to play for the Green Bay Packers with whom he would spend the best of his playing years. He played for 16 seasons for the team and helped them appear in two Super Bowls, eventually winning the Super Bowl XXXI. A dynamic player with exceptional skills and leadership qualities, he led his teams to eight division championships and five NFC Championship Games. He is the only quarterback to have won three consecutive NFL most valuable player awards.
He helped his team ‘Packers’ to a ‘NFL North Title’ in 2016‘NFL North Title’ in 2016. He finished the season with 401 completions and 610 attempts, 65.7%65.7% completion percentage, 40 touchdown passes, seven interceptions, passer rating of 104.2, and 369 rushing yards, along with four rushing touchdowns. He was also ranked as the sixth best player in the ‘NFL Top 100 Players’ of 2016.
In 2017In 2017, during the sixth week against ‘Minnesota Vikings,’ he was taken off the field as he fractured his right collarbone. On October 19, he underwent surgery and 13 screws were inserted to stabilize his collarbone.
In August 2005, he agreed to a five-year deal worth $7.7 million$7.7 million with the ‘Packers.’ Despite his brilliant skills, very little of him was seen in his rookie season.
Rodgers signed a four-year extension deal worth $134 million, including a $57.5 million$57.5 million signing bonus with the ‘Packers’ on August 29, 2018.
