8i (virtual reality)

8i is an augmented reality company that creates, distributes and experiences volumetric video of real people that look and feel like they are in the same room. It starts with creating and capturing the performance, after which the data is processed and converted into single volumetric video asset called an HVR. The HVR is then distributed to any device or platform using its proprietary compression algorithm.
