Bee Gees, also known as BGs, was a music group founded in 1958 that was active until 2012. The group consisted of key members Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb, Maurice Gibb, and Vince Melouney. They were part of the music and entertainment industries. Bee Gees were known for their diverse range in genres such as rock music, soul music, pop, disco, soft rock, rhythm and blues, blue-eyed soul, and pop rock.
Throughout their career, the Bee Gees received numerous awards including American Music Awards, World Music Awards, Grammy Awards, Brit Awards, Grammy Awards Special award of merit, BMI Awards, Queensland Music Awards, Vocal Group Hall of Fame, and Walk of Fame. Additionally, they were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, received the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Trophy, and were appointed as Order of the British Empire.
Bee Gees faced competition from bands and artists like The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Queen , and Elvis Presley.
