Chain is blockchain and software development company developing the Chain Sequence platform that is headquartered in San Francisco, California and was founded in 2014 by Adam Ludwin and Devon Gundry. The Chain Sequence platform that enables financial companies to build and deploy bitcoin solutions such as apps. On January 1, 2014 Chain closed their seed funding round with $4.2 million in funding from RRE Ventures (lead investor), Thrive Capital, SV Angel, Firestartr, BoxGroup, Betaworks, and Semil Shah.
On September 9, 2015 Chain announced they closed their series B funding round with $30 million in capital from RRE Ventures, Visa, NASDAQ, Pantera Capital, Orange Digital Ventures, Fiserv, Draft Ventures, Citi Ventures, and Capital One Growth Ventures.
