Course Hero is an online learning platform where users can access over 25 million course-specific study resources contributed by a community of students and educators. They help users feel confident and prepared, from day one to graduation.

The company's online learning platform helps to share course-specific knowledge, crowdsourced notes and educational resources to learn and study; the platform allows users to upload materials for free access, enabling students, educators and self-learners to get collaborative learning, both inside and outside the classroom and access educational resources daily.
Course Hero works closely with educators to help support student learning and complement what's happening in the classroom. They want to see more students graduating and ready to build lives for themselves.
Course Hero raised two angel rounds. The first in October 2006 where they raised $10,000 from Jared Grauer, David Grauer and Andrew T. Grauer. The second in February 2008 when they raised $200,000 from Grauer Brothers Capital and Frederick Grauer.
Course Hero raised three seperate seed funding rounds. The first in September 2007 where they raised $183,000 from Grauer Brothers Capital, Frederick Grauer, Amidzad Partners and A&G Investments. Their second round was raised in August 2008 where they raised $500,000 from Grauer Brothers Capital and Frederick Grauer. And they raised their final seed round in July 2010 with $1.5 million raised from Steve Chen, SV Angel, Raj Sanhu, Nils Johnson, Maveron, Mark Vadon, Great Oaks Venture Capital, Frederick Grauer and Andrew Boszhardt, Jr.
Course Hero announced their Series A financing on November 11, 2014 with a total raised capital of $15 million. The round included participation from SV Angel, Raj Sandhu, Maveron, Interplay Ventures, Great Oaks Venture Capital, GSV Ventures and 137 Ventures.
In 2019, Course Hero surpassed $100 million in revenue, generated largely from their 1 million subscriber base.
