The company is focused on providing re-inventions that perform and look different in certain areas of technology including floor-care, environmental control, and personal care. They sell their machines in over seventy-five countries.
COVID-19
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus), Dyson has received orders from the United Kingdom's government to make 10,000 ventilators in order to support against the threat of severe cases of coronavirus. The company recognizes that a ventilator supports patients who can no longer maintain their own airways, but that there is a shortage of these machines across the world.
Dyson designed a new ventilator, named the CoVent, within ten days of the official order. The ventilator was designed to be manufactured quickly and at large volumes, and are geared specifically towards the needs of coronavirus patients. Dyson claimed these ventilators to be ready by April, and that they would surpass the initial order of 10,000 units by donating 5,000 ventilators for the sake of international efforts against the virus.
