Gvaudan is one of the world leaders in manufacturing flavors, fragrances, and ingredients for use in the food, consumer goods, and fragrance industries. Two brothers, Leon Givaudan and Xavier Givaudan, founded Givaudan in 1895 in Zurich, Switzerland. Now, Givaudan is headquartered in Vernier Switzerland.
On November 22, 2006, Givaudan acquired Quest International Fragrances, a flavor manufacturer for drinks, snack foods, and desserts, for £1,200,000.
On June 3, 2014, Givaudan acquired Soliance, a manufacturer of cosmetic ingredients, and its subsidiaries for an undisclosed amount of money.
On August 31, 2015, Givaudan acquired Induchem, a cosmetic ingredient manufacturer, for an undisclosed amount of money.
On May 23, 2016, Givaudan acquired Spicetec Flavors & Seasonings, a manufacturer of flavors of food products, for $340,000,000.
On May 14, 2018, Givaudan acquired the Nutrition Division of Centroflora, a manufacturer of botanical extracts and dehydrated fruits for the food & beverage industry, for an undisclosed amount of money.
