The company manufactured testing and measuring instruments. And its first product was a precision low-frequency generator, the Model 200A. The novelty of this device was that it used a small incandescent lamp as a resistor in a critical part of the circuit. As a result, the price was reduced, and the company was able to drive out its competitors. After all, the Model 200A was selling for about four times the price of competitors' products. Incidentally, the first customer was Disney Studios, which bought eight models at a time.

By the 1960s, the company had grown rapidly. The company employed several thousand people.
