On June 19, 2013 Intercom completed their series A funding round with $6 million in funding from The Social+Capital (lead investor), Freestyle Capital, and David Sacks. The company plans on using their series A funding for product development.
On August 26, 2015 Intercom completed their series C funding round with $35 million in funding from Iconiq Capital (lead investor), The Social+Capital, and Bessemer Venture Partners. The company plans on using their series C funding to increase sales and support products.
On April 7, 2016 Intercom expanded their series C funding round with 450 million in funding from Index Ventures (lead investor), Iconiq Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners and The Social+Capital. At the time of expanding their series C funding round the co-founder and CEO of Intercom, Eoghan McCabe told reporters the company is 'fully funded' and will not be seeking to raise money in the future.
On March 26, 2018 Intercom completed their series D funding round with $125 million in funding from Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield, Byers (lead investor), and Google Ventures. Intercom is planning on using the funding to increase sales and grow the company.
