Mostly AI is a company using artificial intelligence (AI) to generate synthetic data based on real enterprise data. Synthetic data is an artificial representation of real data that can be shared and utilized without privacy concerns. Mostly AI makes synthetic data that can be bigger, smaller, rebalanced, or augmented to fill in missing data points. This artificial data retains the structure and statistical properties of the original for a range of use cases while simplifying data anonymization. Mostly AI generates synthetic data, allowing users to connect the platform to their existing data storage (cloud data warehouse, data lake, or RDBMS), then transform, synthesize, and share it for business intelligence, AI/ML, collaboration, and more.
Potential synthetic data use cases, described by Mostly AI, include the following:
- Data democratization
- Cross-border and enterprise data sharing
- Product design & development
- Representative test data generation
- Artificial intelligence/machine learning development
- Fairness and explainability for AI/ML
