In January 2019 Post-Quantum's NTS-KEM ('Never The Same - Key Encapsulation Mechanisms') cryptosystem was selected for the 2nd round of the NIST Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Standardization Project. It was 1 of 17 second-round candidates for public-key encryption and key-establishment algorithms. The goal of the NIST PQC Standardization Project is to create a set of standards for protecting electronic information from attack by the computers of both tomorrow and today.
