Roam Research is a San Francisco-based developer of a knowledge management document allowing users to organize their notes, thoughts, and collaborate with other users. Roam Research was founded by Conor White-Sullivan.
Through Roam, users can organize their thoughts on a graph database without ordering what file or folder a thought or note needs to go in. Users of Roam include writers, researchers, investors, engineers, designers, marketers, students, teachers, founders, and product managers.
Users are able to use Roam for time tracking, for inboxing with filters across contexts and scheduling for future attention; and emailing, with quick access to facts or paragraphs to reuse in communication. And general organization of claims and research.
Part of organization is a web-like graph which users can view and through which they can link ideas and notes. The system is similar to the Zettelkasten Method, but visual and digital. And through this system notes and keywords can be linked to other pages or lists and allow users to reference other parts of their notes.
