Scotty Labs is a spin-out of SRI International in California that focuses on reinventing the driving experience. Founded 2017 in Menlo Park, California by Helen Foo, Tobenna Arodiogbu and Usman Ghani, Scotty Labs has raised a total of $6M in funding over one round. This was a Seed round raised on March 29, 2018 and was funded by Gradient Ventures. As of March 2020, Scotty Labs is funded by 13 investors. Peter Kazanjy and SRI International are the most recent investors. The company's platform uses human-centric autonomy stack which blends the safety assurances of teleoperation with the durability of autonomy crowdsourcing technology, enabling trucking industries to maximize revenue per truck and minimize cost per mile.
