Deepset is a German software company that designs enterprise search systems powered by natural language processing (NLP). The company was co-founded in 2018 by Milos Rusic, Malte Pietsch, and Timo Möller, who serve as deepset's CEO, CTO, and Head of Machine Learning (ML), respectively. Deepset designs software to help companies sort through and locate information in high volumes of text data. Deepset's flagship product, Haystack, is an NLP framework that allows users to pick and deploy a model to launch a fully composable NLP search system. Relying on NLP and machine learning technology, Haystack also allows users to add question answering and other semantic queries for their documents. In addition to these features, the Haystack framework is scalable to millions of users and can provide pipelines for question answering. As of 2022, Haystack is still in development.
Deepset has raised a total of $1.6 million over one funding round, a pre-seed announced on March 8, 2021. System. One and Lunar Ventures led the round, which also included participation from Acequia Capital, Charlie Songhurst, Jeremy Yap, Rand Hindi, and Tiny VC.
