Anne of Austria was born on September 22, 1601, in Valladolid. She held citizenship in both France and Spain. Anne was the child of Philip III of Spain and Maria Anna of Bavaria (1551–1608). Philip III was also the father of Charles II, Archduke of Austria, and Margaret of Austria, Queen of Spain.
