Coin Center is a non-profit research and advocacy center based out of Washington, D.C. that was founded in 2014. In 2014, Coin Center received $1 million to support its initial operations. The funding came from several individuals and organizations, including: Andreessen Horowitz, BitGo, BitPay, CoinBase, Hudson River Trading, RRE Ventures, Union Square Ventures, Xapo, Emil Woods, and Charles Cascarilla.
