The New York Riptide is one of three teams from New York that have participated in the NLL, with the other two being the now-defunct New York Saints and New York Titans. The team has more than twenty-five players and a dance team to accompany it during the games. The team's inaugural 2019-2020 season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the 2020-2021 season was canceled entirely. For the 2021-2022 season, the team had a new general manager, Jim Veltman, and a new head coach, Dan Ladouceur. The team finished the 2021-2022 season with six wins and twelve losses.
