The Philadelphia Wings is a Philadelphia-based box lacrosse team and is part of the National Lacrosse League (NLL). It plays at the Wells Fargo Center for home games and trains at its training center in Voorhees, New Jersey. The league has two divisions, East and West. The Philadelphia Wings team is part of the East Division, which is composed of teams located in the eastern parts of the United States and Canada. Other teams in the division include New York Riptide, Rochester Knighthawks, Toronto Rock, Albany Firewolves, Buffalo Bandits, Georgia Swarm, and Halifax Thunderbirds.
The team has nineteen active players and had its expansion season in 2018-2019. The COVID-19 pandemic cut short the 2019-2020 season, and the NLL did not have a 2020-2021 season. In the regular season of 2021-2022, the Philadelphia Wings won nine games and lost nine games.
There are several youth programs associated with the Philadelphia Wings, such as the Wings summer camp and junior Wings Lacrosse. There is also the junior Wings Dancers, the youth version of the dance team for the Philadelphia Wings.
