WellSaid Labs is a Seattle-based synthetic media company developing text-to-speech technology for the creation of lifelike synthetic voice overs. The Seattle-based company was founded on January 1, 2018 by CEO Matt Hocking and CTO Michael Petrochuk, spinning out of Seattle's Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI2).
WellSaid offers multiple voice recognition services in the platform, including WellSaid Studio, WellSaid API, and WellSaid Avatars, which provide synthetic voice, text-to-speech, and project management tools. The platform allows customers to choose from a range of voice avatars, create voiceovers straight from scripts, and share project files with team members for feedback and co-production.
WellSaid's voice infrastructure enables companies to add voice capabilities throughout their existing services and tools. It allows clients to build their own voice avatars for branded content, add voice to apps and products, and integrate the technology into internal production tools.
The platform's API service uses RESTful Architecture, allowing mp3 streams to be rendered and delivered in real-time. Prototypes can be tested in the API Sandbox, which can be connected to internal tools and can support over millions of avatar characters per month.
The voice platform integrates into existing software platforms to meet demands for both small and large companies. WellSaid will host, scale, and upgrade the infrastructure for clients' varying project sizes to meet processing, security, and compliance requirements.
