The Aviatrix cloud network platform provides a multi-cloud networking platform for enterprises that is independent of public cloud provider choice. The platform is designed to deliver automation of cloud services to enable operational visibility and simplify user control.
Aviatrix aims to simplify virtual private clouds (VPCs) and Azure virtual networks (VNETs) by enabling users to gain control of a cloud network without the requirement of specialized knowledge regarding networking command line interfaces (CLIs). The platform's centralized controller offers the following features:
- A browser-based, point-and-click management console
- The capability to orchestrate native constructs (such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform) and Aviatrix' advanced services
- Aviatrix Gateway instances for direct connection, multi-cloud, and edge connectivity
The Aviatrix CoPilot service makes operations visible to users and informs them in the event that a cloud network encounters issues. It offers features including the following:
- Visualization of all connectivity statuses, performance, and latency in real time
- Call up monitoring, displays, and alerts
- Information about VPC connectivity
According to Aviatrix, due to technological limitations, most virtual routers force users to build every point-to-point connection. As an alternative, the company's platform lets users operate natively on the cloud for all their accounts, regions, VPCs, and VNETs, enabling users to:
- manage multiple accounts and regions with a single service,
- network cloud regions from a global view as opposed to point-to-point,
- and interconnect AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
In addition, Aviatrix helps clients meet their regulatory compliance requirements by implementing VPC network segmentation and isolation. As part of this service, Aviatrix ensures the following:
- VPC connectivity
- User-friendly tags to specify network ranges for security rules
- Facilitation of firewall filters based on tags or specific address ranges, CIDR, protocols, and ports
- Control of outbound traffic from VPCs with egress filtering
- Simplifiction of auditing processes with the option of logging security policy events and packets to Splunk, SumoLogic, Syslog, and Datadog platforms
- Integration with AWS GuardDuty to automatically block malicious activity at the VPC network level
The Aviatrix Certified Engineer (ACE) program is a multi-cloud networking certification and training program operated by Aviatrix. The ACE certification is suitable for individuals who already have a basic understanding of networking concepts and prepares them with the working knowledge of native networking constructs in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as well as the proficiency to build, automate, scale, and secure multi-cloud network architectures.
