In February 2023, Cisco announced theirits intent to acquire Valtix. Previously, Cisco had strategically invested in Valtix, and announced in February Cisco's wantedwanting to acquire Valtix for theirits cloud-native control plane where users can enable common policy and enforcements of networking across major public cloud environments. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, suggesting, for some, that it was not a large deal as the transaction did not have to be reported by a public company. But it forms a part of Cisco's ambitions in the multi-cloud network security business. Cisco is expected to close the acquisition by the end of the company's Q3 FY2023, at which point Valtix will be folded into Cisco and closed.
