Located in California and founded in 2011 by Soulaiman Itani, Atheer offers the AiR™ (Augmented interactive Reality) smart glasses platform for deskless professionals.
Developers and companies can use the AiR platform and the open AiR SDK (Software Developer Kit) to create enterprise applications and workflows for tasks in industrial, energy, healthcare, insurance, construction, and logistics industries.
Parts of the Atheer AiR platform include the following:
• AiR Glasses: These are interactive 3D smart glasses that allow users to see and interact with important work information in their field-of-view using familiar gestures, voice commands, and motion tracking.
• The Android-based AiROS
• The AiR Enterprise Suite: This is a cloud-based, collaboration-centric Enterprise Suite that users utilize to collaborate with remote experts through video calls and receive guidance through real-time image annotations.
The Atheer AiR Studio possesses drag-and-drop tools that users can utilize to build AR powered workflows. The no code studio contains the building blocks and tools required to build AR business applications including dynamic forms, multiple step types, and enterprise integrations. It supports one-click deployment as users can deploy their finished workflows and apps to all the devices (including smart glasses) that their frontline teams use and update them with one click.
With the AiR Lens, users can scan, explore, and interact with their workspace. With Marker-based object recognition, users can set up QR, barcode, and OCR-based scans. The scan results can be connected to content, AR workflows, and associated experts. There is also image-based object recognition. The Lens can be trained to recognize clients' objects and key assets. It can also display machine and sensor data. It can be connected to machines, sensors, and IIOT in order to see the the data flow into the field of vision.

Atheer can be deployed to the devices used by an organization's teams and the users have access to secure messaging, AR video assistance, documentation, AR workflows, and others:
- Secure chat and group messaging: Group memberships can be static or dynamic based on any number of criteria.
- Augmented remote assistance: Atheer’s AR-enabled video sessions let users deliver expertise to worldwide via multi-party calling, scheduling, recording, and playback of sessions. Users can also annotate on live video and still images.
- Guest user invitation: Users can invite guest users to video sessions via email and SMS invitations.
- AR-powered workflows: Users have access to ready-made templates and drag-and-drop building blocks.
- ONtheGO Platforms: On December 2, 2015, Atheer acquired ONtheGO Platforms, a developer of software applications for smart glasses.
- SpaceView: On July 12, 2017, Atheer acquired SpaceView, a company offering an interactive design tool.
- Flype: On the first of August 2019, Atheer acquired Flype, a cloud-based infrastructure for businesses.
